Canterbury is well known for its huge variety of attractions such as visiting the world famous Cathedral and the historic river tours to name a few. But believe it or not, it’s also home to capturing some of the heart and soul of the area, the people….well on that day I went anyway 🙂
My husband and I packed our car full of goodies and decided to make a day of it. I was in search of hopefully photographing some of the emotion and humanity of the street life there.
We unfortunately underestimated how long it would take to get there (from London) and start exploring the many nooks and crannys before I found what I was looking for.
To be honest, I’m not sure if Canterbury is generally one of the sought after places in England for street photography, but I thought I’d give it a go. As some of you may know, London really is where the action is.
There weren’t many scenes that told a story or the typical juxtaposition or playful light and shadow contrasts, but there were some good opportunities.
All in all, I’m glad I made the trip as Canterbury truly is a beautiful historic English city. While I was on the prowl looking and waiting for the ‘perfect moment’ to capture the street scene, I also wanted to take the time to appreciate the sights and sounds without having to think about my next street photograph. Below are some others that I took along the way though, so I hope you enjoy 🙂
Thank you for stopping by and see you again in the next post 🙂
Peace and love,
